Premissa - Membership Agreement & Liability Waiver
Effective Date:
1. Nature of the Space
Premissa is a non-profit, community-driven space. Members are participants, not clients. The space operates through shared responsibility, voluntary contribution, and collective engagement. Access to facilities and activities may vary and is not guaranteed at all times.
2. Assumption of Risk
Participation in activities at Premissa, including but not limited to climbing, bouldering, fitness training, workshops, and use of tools or equipment, involves inherent risks.
By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks voluntarily and agree that you are solely responsible for your own safety and well-being.
3. Health Declaration
You confirm that:
- You are physically and mentally able to participate in activities.
- You do not have any condition that would make participation unsafe.
- You will not participate under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
You agree to immediately stop any activity if you feel unwell or unsafe.
4. Liability Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Premissa and its members, volunteers, and partners shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in activities or use of the space.
This limitation does not apply in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct, where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
5. Use of Space and Equipment
You agree to:
- Use all equipment responsibly and as intended.
- Follow safety instructions and guidelines.
- Respect shared resources and clean up after use.
You are responsible for any damage caused by misuse or negligence.
6. Community Guidelines (Code of Conduct)
Premissa is committed to providing an inclusive and respectful environment. By participating, you agree to:
- Treat others with respect and consideration.
- Refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, or harmful behavior.
- Support a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
Violation of these principles may result in suspension or termination of access.
7. Access and Door Code
If granted access credentials (e.g. door code), you agree:
- Not to share access with non-members.
- To ensure the space is secured after use.
- To follow all access-related guidelines.
Access may be revoked in case of misuse.
8. Membership and Contribution
Premissa operates through a combination of financial contributions and voluntary engagement.
You acknowledge that:
- Membership may involve donations and/or volunteer participation.
- Access conditions (e.g. door code) may depend on fulfilling these contributions.
9. Data Protection (GDPR)
Premissa collects and processes personal data (such as name, email, and membership activity) solely for the purpose of managing participation and communication.
Your data will:
- Not be shared with third parties without consent.
- Be stored securely.
- Be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data at any time.
10. Media Consent (Optional)
By participating in activities, you acknowledge that photos or videos may be taken for documentation or communication purposes.
If you do not wish to appear in such media, you must inform the team in advance.
11. Termination
Premissa reserves the right to suspend or terminate access in case of violations of these terms or behavior that harms the community or space.
12. Agreement
By creating an account, checking the consent box, or participating in activities, you confirm that:
- You have read and understood this agreement.
- You agree to all terms stated above.
