Premissa is a youth-led non-profit association based in the Azores. We focus on projects that bring together artistic practice, social research, and community-based methods — especially in collaboration with marginalized groups. Our center in Ponta Delgada hosts workshops, public events, as well as regular informal gatherings. A key part of our work is improving access: both in terms of participation in cultural and educational activity, and in building connections to resources and networks beyond the islands.
We believe spaces matter. Premissa exists to provide a physical and cultural environment where expression, community care, and creative work are possible — especially for those who are often excluded from institutional spaces.
